GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS

  • Each invited speaker will have 25 minutes for presentation, which allows 5 minutes for discussions.
  • Each contributed speaker will have 12 minutes for presentation, which allows 3 minutes for discussions.
  • Prepare your presentation with PowerPoint or Beamer and save it in PDF format. Be sure your visuals are clear and very legible. Whiteboard/blackboard/flip chart is not available.
  • Take your presentation to your presentation room at least one hour prior to your talk to copy your presentation to the PC available there, except for presentation on Tuesday afternoon you may copy your file on Tuesday morning.
  • Each parallel session room is equipped with PC computers running Windows and Microsoft OfficeBe sure to test your presentation.
  • Arrive in session room 10 minutes before the start of your session to introduce yourself to the session chair.

 

Guidelines for Chairing a Session

Before the session starts:

  • Introduce yourself to the presenters scheduled for your session beforehand
  • Arrive at the session at least 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Carry a wristwatch in order to keep the time.

 

During the session:

  • Introduce the presenters by name, and state the titles of their presentations.
  • Keep equal time for the presentations. If the session starts late, reduce the time equally for all presenters. Have presenters adhere to 10 minutes maximum for presentation (25 minutes for Invited Speakers), and 5 minutes maximum per presentation for questions and answers. There is a separate Q&A for each presentation.
  • If your talk is scheduled during the session that you chair, please ask the next presenter or the presenter before you to become the chair.
  • Ensure that the scheduled order of presentations is followed; please do not rearrange the sequence of presentations within the hour.
  • Be prepared to resolve logistic problems with the help of the room supervisor.

Dear AMC 2016 Poster Presenters,

This guide contains all the information you need to prepare for your poster display, so please read all the information carefully. Please check your poster session schedule, session code and display time with your name and abstract title on the website. Please note that any changes to allocated session schedules will not be authorized.

  • Language

All Poster presentations should be produced in English.

  • Poster Display

The organizing committee will provide with a series of poster display boards. Posters should be affixed to the poster boards using double-sided adhesive tapes. It is recommended to bring your own stationeries in case of depletion of the prepared stationeries. There is no audio-visual equipment available for poster presentations.

  • Schedule

  • Poster Board Dimension

Poster boards will be provided to display your materials. The board size is 2.5m high and 1m wide and the poster size is 1.2m high and 0.9m wide (A0 Size). Materials, including title, MUST NOT exceed the image area (see picture).

  • Poster Design

    • Poster codes number supplied by the organizer will be placed in the top left of each poster board.
    • Title, authors’ names, affiliations, countries should be included on the poster.
    • The title should be the same as presented in the submitted abstract.
    • It is a presenter’s responsibility to produce a comprehensible poster.
    • The organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage to those posters, which are not removed by authors before the end of the removal time. Posters not removed by their authors at the stated time, will be automatically disposed.
    • All posters should be produced by presenters. Any posters received via email will not be printed by the AMC 2016 OC.
